Delhi Implements Section 144 as Precautionary Measure Amid Farmers March
In response to the upcoming Delhi Chalo March by farmers on Tuesday, the Delhi Police has taken preventive action by implementing Section 144 across the national capital. This directive, issued by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on Monday, entails a month-long enforcement of prohibitory orders, including restrictions on public processions and various activities.

Prohibited Activities:
- Blocking roads, gathering in groups of five or more, and holding rallies or meetings in Delhi are strictly prohibited unless approved for specific reasons in advance.
- Processions, demonstrations, or marches on foot, for any reason, are completely banned.
Vehicles, especially tractor trolleys carrying people or materials, are not allowed to enter Delhi, especially if they carry weapons or tools of violence.
- Carrying firearms, explosives, corrosive substances, or any dangerous items in public places is strictly prohibited. The collection or carrying of items that could potentially harm people is also banned.
- Vehicles entering Delhi from neighboring districts will undergo thorough checks at the borders, and those carrying items like sticks or banners wont be permitted.
- The dissemination of provocative messages leading to public disorder is deemed illegal.
The use of loudspeakers or amplifiers in vehicles, buildings, or public places without permission is strictly prohibited.
Permitted Activities:
- Cooperation with law enforcement is expected from everyone to ensure the safety and security of the residents in Delhi.
- Gatherings related to weddings, funerals, or purely religious functions are allowed, provided they are organized after obtaining due permission from the relevant authority.
Exceptions:
