ToggleMahindra’s upcoming XUV.e9 is set to redefine the electric SUV segment with its cutting-edge features and stylish design. Slated for an official launch in 2025, the XUV.e9 is a coupe-style, fully-electric SUV, developed on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform. The SUV will be equipped with a powerful battery pack, offering a range of approximately 450-500 km, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup.
The XUV.e9’s interior is one of its standout features. The cabin includes a sleek dashboard design with a triple-screen layout. This setup consists of two screens dedicated to infotainment, while the third is a fully digital instrument cluster, giving it a futuristic feel. The gear shifter is finished in a combination of gloss and leather, complemented by a rotary knob for infotainment controls and an electronic parking brake.
Other notable interior features include ice-grey perforated seats, likely with seat ventilation options, and a spacious rear with reclinable split seats for enhanced comfort. The dashboard has a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo at the center, adding a touch of luxury and modernity to the interior.
The Mahindra XUV.e9 shares its design DNA with the XUV700 but takes it a step further. The SUV has a coupe silhouette with a sloping roofline and a connected LED taillamp that runs along the rear, giving it a sophisticated look. The front fascia features sharp triangular headlamp designs with integrated projectors, adding to its aggressive stance.
The rear of the vehicle showcases a wide-opening tailgate and a large boot space, making it not only stylish but also practical. The tailgate and rear glass form a single unit, providing easy access and a spacious feel.
Mahindra has built the XUV.e9 on its all-new INGLO platform, which will underpin its future EV models. This skateboard-style platform offers a low center of gravity and ample space, making it ideal for both performance and comfort. The vehicle is expected to come with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), ensuring top-notch safety and convenience for its occupants.
The Mahindra XUV.e9 is expected to launch in the market by the second half of 2025. Positioned as a premium offering in the electric SUV segment, it will compete with other EVs like the BYD Atto 3, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the upcoming Tata Harrier EV. With a likely price range starting from ₹35 lakh to ₹40 lakh, it aims to attract customers looking for a blend of luxury, performance, and sustainability.
