ToggleThe 2024 Nissan Magnite facelift has been officially launched in India, starting at an introductory price of ₹5.99 lakh, making it one of the most affordable compact SUVs on the market. This refreshed version features a host of design updates and new features while retaining the same mechanical specifications as its predecessor.
The new Magnite facelift showcases subtle yet impactful changes to its exterior. The front fascia now features a wider grille with chrome accents and a new design for the LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), giving the SUV a more aggressive look. The bumper has been reworked to include a faux skid plate with integrated fog lamps, while the tail lamps have been upgraded with new LED signatures. Additionally, Nissan has introduced a fresh “Sunrise Copper” color, adding to the SUV’s palette options.
On the inside, the Magnite facelift has a revamped cabin with a new two-tone black and copper theme, replacing the previous all-black layout. It also comes with dual-tone leatherette seats, ambient lighting, and new textured panels on the door pads. The updated 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with features like rear AC vents, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera, has been carried over from the previous model.
The Magnite continues to be powered by two engine options: a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine producing 72hp and 96Nm of torque, and a turbocharged 1.0-liter petrol engine delivering 100hp and 160Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual transmission (MT) or an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) for the naturally aspirated engine, and a CVT for the turbocharged variant. The SUV delivers a fuel efficiency of up to 20 km/l for the manual variant and 17.4 km/l for the CVT.
Nissan has equipped the facelifted Magnite with an array of safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ABS, and rear parking sensors as standard across all variants. It also comes with automatic headlights, a new auto-dimming rearview mirror, Type-C charging ports, and an updated key fob with remote functions.
The Magnite facelift is available in multiple variants, with prices ranging from ₹5.99 lakh for the base Visia MT to ₹11.50 lakh for the top-spec Tekna+ turbo CVT. This makes it highly competitive against rivals like the Renault Kiger, Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Toyota Taisor.
The 2024 Nissan Magnite facelift retains its position as an affordable and well-equipped option in the compact SUV segment. While the changes are primarily cosmetic, the updated design, additional safety features, and competitive pricing make it a compelling choice for buyers looking for a budget-friendly yet feature-rich SUV.
