OPERATION MUSKAAN XI: TELANGANA POLICE RESCUE AROUND 7,600 CHILDREN
OPERATION MUSKAAN XI
Summary

In July 2025, Telangana Police successfully rescued around 7,678 children under Operation Muskaan XI. This special campaign was done to find missing, abandoned, or working children and bring them to safety. The police worked with child welfare teams across different districts of Telangana. FIRs were filed, and legal action was taken against those who hired or hurt children. This mission also showed how urgent child safety issues are in India. The success of the operation now stands as a strong example for other states.

What is Operation Muskaan XI?

Operation Muskaan XI is a rescue program started by the government to help missing and unprotected children. It happens every year across India. Telangana took major steps in the 11th edition of this drive. The goal is to bring every missing child back to a safe place and stop child labour and trafficking.

Telangana Police Lead Massive Rescue

This year, Telangana Police formed special teams and visited railway stations, bus stops, factories, markets, and homes. They searched every place where a child could be in danger. These teams worked closely with child care officers and NGOs to make the rescue smooth and safe.

7,678 Missing Children Traced in July

During July, the police found 7,678 children. Out of these, 6,860 were boys and 818 were girls. Nearly 96 children were reunited with their families. Others were taken to government-run homes for care and support. These numbers show how serious the issue is and how active the police were in finding these children.

Action Taken Across Telangana Districts

Each district in Telangana took part in the mission. Police, volunteers, and officers from child protection units worked together. After rescuing the children, the teams gave them food, medical help, and checked their documents. They also provided counseling for those who were scared or unwell.

FIRs Filed and Arrests Made Under the Drive

Many FIRs (police reports) were filed against people who forced children to work or ignored their safety. Some people were arrested for keeping children in bad conditions. The police made sure that the law was followed so that these children never return to danger again.

Why Child Safety Needs Stronger Systems

This mission shows how much work still needs to be done to protect children in India. Many of the rescued children were working, living on streets, or treated badly. India needs better reporting systems, school support, and laws to stop child labour completely.
