Salman Khan is taking his safety and security very seriously amid renewed death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The actor has been on the gang’s radar for quite some time, and recently, following the murder of his close friend and political leader Baba Siddique, he received fresh threats. As a result, Salman has ramped up his security measures and is reportedly sparing no expense in ensuring his protection.
Salman Khan’s New Bulletproof Car
According to Bollywood Society, Salman Khan has purchased a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV, which is not available in the Indian market and is being imported from Dubai. The vehicle, priced at around ₹2 crore, comes equipped with advanced safety features like explosive alert indicators, thick glass shields to withstand point-blank bullet shots, and black camouflage shades to prevent identification of passengers. The import process is expected to incur additional costs to ensure quick delivery to India.
Salman had previously imported another bulletproof vehicle from the UAE last year after he and his father, Salim Khan, first received death threats from the Bishnoi gang.
Stringent Security on Bigg Boss Sets
On Friday, Salman Khan resumed shooting for Bigg Boss 18 under heavy security, marking his return to work after Baba Siddique’s murder. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for Siddique’s killing, while police investigations are ongoing. Additionally, Mumbai Police received a WhatsApp message threatening Salman Khan, demanding ₹5 crore. The message warned, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹5 crore. If not, his fate will be worse than Baba Siddique’s.”
According to an India Today report, stringent security measures have been enforced on the Bigg Boss set, with over 60 personnel deployed to secure the area. Access to the set has been tightly controlled, with guards instructed to check Aadhar cards before allowing entry. Salman continues to shoot for the weekend special Weekend Ka Vaar episodes as the show’s host.
