Actor Urmila Matondkar has reportedly filed for divorce from businessman-model Mohsin Akhtar Mir, according to Hindustan Times. Urmila and Mohsin were married for eight years. A source close to the couple told Hindustan Times, “After careful consideration, Sh has decided to end her marriage with Mohsin. She has already filed for divorce in court. While the reason for the separation remains unclear, it is not happening on mutual terms.”

Urmila Matondkar and Mohsin Akhtar Mir tied the knot on February 4, 2016, in an intimate ceremony at Urmila’s residence in Mumbai, attended by close friends and family. The couple first met at designer Manish Malhotra’s niece’s wedding in 2014.

She began her acting career as a child actor in Shekhar Kapur’s 1980 film Masoom, an adaptation of Erich Segal’s novel Man, Woman and Child.

In the 1990s, Urmila starred in several blockbuster films including Rangeela, Judai, Satya, Mast, Khoobsurat, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Bhoot, and Ek Hasina Thi. Although she has been away from the silver screen for a while, her last film appearance was in the 2014 Marathi movie Ajoba. She also made a special appearance in the song Bewafa Beauty from the 2018 film Blackmail.

Mohsin Akhtar Mir has also appeared in several projects, including It’s A Man’s World, Luck By Chance, Mumbai Mast Kallander, and B.A. Pass, among others.
