PV Sindhu to Marry IT Professional Venkata Datta Sai on December 22 in Udaipur

Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu is set to begin a new chapter in her life as she prepares to marry senior IT professional Venkata Datta Sai later this month. The wedding will take place in Udaipur on December 22, followed by a reception in Hyderabad on December 24.
Sindhu, celebrated as one of India’s greatest badminton players, finalized the match just a month ago. Her father, PV Ramana, shared with PTI, “The two families have known each other, but everything was finalized only recently. Since Sindhu has a busy 2025 season starting January, this was the only available time.”
The family emphasized the importance of ensuring Sindhu’s training schedule remains uninterrupted. “She will resume training soon after the wedding as the upcoming season is crucial for her,” Ramana added.
Who is Venkata Datta Sai?
Sindhu’s fiancé, Venkata Datta Sai, is an executive director at Posidex Technologies, a company whose new logo Sindhu unveiled last month. He is the son of GT Venkateshwar Rao, the managing director of Posidex Technologies and a former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer.
Sai’s educational background reflects his keen interest in innovation and technology. After completing a Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the Foundation for Liberal and Management Education, he pursued a BBA in Accounting and Finance from FLAME University in 2018. He later earned a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore.
Professionally, Sai has worked with JSW and served as the managing director of Sour Apple Asset Management before joining Posidex Technologies in December 2019. His contributions include developing advanced solutions for instant credit score matching and other banking operations used by leading institutions like HDFC and ICICI.
As the couple prepares for their big day, both families are looking forward to the celebrations and this exciting new phase in Sindhu’s life.
